Making sick children better.

Dr John Chapman's Private Paediatric Clinic

Welcome to my Private Children's Clinic page!

I run a regular Clinics for Private Patients from the East Point Consulting Rooms at the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston. Gorleston is a small seaside town, with a beautiful beach, in between the cities of Norwich and Ipswich and near the towns of Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. It is well worth a visit. Visit Gorleston

I can also arrange to see patients at the Spire Hospital in Norwich (NR4 7TD) and I provide Private Paediatric Clinics there on some Saturday mornings in their Hill House Outpatient Department.

I have nearly 30 years of experience of sick children and I have seen a many different illnesses in that time. I like to think that I can provide a good opinion on most Paediatric conditions. Check out my qualifications here.

If you want me to see your child, many people choose a private appointment. These are 3-4 times longer than a standard NHS appointment, you are guaranteed to see me and I see most patients within a week or two.

Following on from the initial consultation, I can organise further investigations such as allergy testing, x-rays, blood tests, Lung Function Tests or Overnight Sleep Studies for the assessment of snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSAS) within the JPUH.

I can test for Coeliac Disease (gluten intolerance / sensitivity) and allergies to almost anything. Routinely I test for foods (milk, egg, fish, wheat, soya, peanut) and airborne allergies such as cat, dog, House Dust Mite, pollens and moulds.

If you have Private Medical Insurance then contact your insurer and tell them that you would like a consultation with Dr John P Chapman.

I am registered the major insurers so this should not be a problem. You may also wish to clarify with your insurer about funding any recommended investigations. You may also wish to check to see if there is an "excess" on your policy which means that you will be liable for a fixed amount of the bill.

If you wish to pay for the consultations yourself (usually termed “Self-funding”), please have a look at the prices here to understand how much this will cost you.
